These two days we worked on our beat sheet, mostly revising on day 9. 
Horror film day 7
Today we brainstormed different opening scenes, I had an idea of a wide shot of her sitting on a park bench reading, then cutting to a medium of her standing up, preparing to leave when she steps on something. Jasmine and Joyce had ideas of opening with shots of the environment, then cutting to her feet walking. We are going to do those test shots in the next class.
Horror film day 6
Today, we decided to change our storyline to something completely different, and made it less generic, and more complicated. A young woman who takes home a necklace that she found on the ground, faces some unorthodox consequences, some even deadly. We are working on finishing the synopsis.
Horror film part 5
During this class, we decided that the pool flashback scene might not be allowed by the school to film, so we changed the scene to a hot tub as that wouldn’t require permission from the school and fits our schedules more. Joyce has a hot tub at her house so it is a convenient location for us to film at all times, while the school has limited times.
Horror film day 4
Today, we realized that the actors would be difficult to find, so a change in the plot/story was decided. The new plan is to have characters around our age instead of adults, as actors would be much easier to find.

Today, we continued on the script, discussing as we moved along. We made minor changes and continued the entire time.
Horror film day 2
Today, we started slowly developing our story and then started a bit on turning it into a script for our film, also discussing how the story should flow, as well as other aspects of the film. We altered the plot a little bit and talked about how we should create the movie, in order to make sure that we are able to film it later on.
Horror Film Day 1
Today, we discussed which plot to use, as well as splitting roles/deliverables for the project. We also talked about our overall plan and a basic outline of this process. We decided that because we have a large amount of time, we will be able to spend a month, or even more, on developing the story.
Below is the concept we are going with:
A girl goes missing. 15 years later, her parents get a call from her older self. But they listen in fear because they left their daughter for dead years ago. Or did they?
Reading Reflection #2: “The Glass Castle” by Jeannette Walls
I am currently on page 203 of “The Glass Castle” by Jeannette Walls, and the novel has developed in a way similar to my predictions, making the progression expected. Walls constantly uses dialogue to give the reader a more vivid experience, since it is a memoir about her own family’s journey while she was growing up. This helps the reader picture the scenes, and also helps to bring the novel to life. The diction used by Walls’ also makes the novel feel more like a personal journal, rather than a over-polished novel. I predicted that the Wallses would grow apart over time as the Walls children matured, and what happened was extremely similar. The Walls children began to see the flaws of their parents, and made efforts to save their struggling family. Jeannette started to stand against her alcoholic father, as she realizes that he has been using her soft spot for him in a negative way. This leads the children to build their own lives. So far, this novel has been enjoyable and I would definitely recommend it to other readers.
Reading Reflection #1: “The Glass Castle” by Jeannette Walls
Heartbreaking but equally warm, “The Glass Castle” by Jeannette Walls tells the tale of a young Walls living a rather difficult, struggle-filled childhood with her dysfunctional but loving family. Though I cannot relate to that, the Walls’ admirable resilience is something that I can relate to on a personal level. Their resilience helped them through all the rocky roads of the unorganized life they live, while mine allows me to overcome less literal obstacles in life easily. Based on my predictions, later in the novel Jeannette will grow apart from her family as she starts her own life. Though the Wallses will not be the closest they’ve been, the love and support continues to run in the family. Far apart but still connected at heart, the memories from their difficult past brings them together. This novel has made me realize how privileged most of us are to be living this lifestyle, while many families out there, like the Wallses, struggle to survive.
