MCC Reflection

How did you feel after speaking with Ross?

After speaking with Ross, I have a general idea on what issue they are facing. I would really like to speak with him again to have more ideas and information to answer my compelling and supporting questions in the future.

What are you excited about?

I am excited to actually help out some people in the world. I am really looking forward to use my skills I have learned in CASE to help them.

What are you nervous about?

I am very excited to help out but on the same time I am also very nervous, since my idea might not help that much and could even be useless for them.

Data Visualization

Which words came up the largest?
The word: housing, Australia, poverty, affordable, data

Which word came up smallest?
The word: Rise, government, impact, affect

What surprised me?
I was surprised that the word “demand”, “supply”, “income” was not as big as I expected. This means that I am slightly off-topic and missed some parts of my research.

What might be missing?

Some words like “graph” “fluctuate” “location” are missing. This shows that I am missing research in my supporting question: “What causes the price of housing to fluctuate over time?” and “What part in Australia has the most critical poverty?

Are your large words part of, or synonymous with, compelling/supporting questions?

According to the word cloud, I have most of my large word is part of my compelling and support questions. However, there are some like “accessed” and “customize” that have not had much connection to my compelling questions.

Are your small words parts of, or synonymous with, compelling/supporting questions?

The majority of my small words are parts of my compelling question. However, there are some words that do not have any connection to my compelling question. For example, “covid” “western” do not have anything to do with my questions.

So what? What refinements do you need to make to your supporting question/searches?

I have to check on my words and increase my research information more specific for my supporting question because some of the words in my wall cloud is not specific enough.

First Version Project Shelter Reflection

In my first version of Project Shelter, I learnt how useful it is to design a prototype before creating the actual design. I also learned that, applying other people’s feedback because they are seeing the design in a different perspective. Another thing i learned is defining the design problem and designing it in the direction towards the target audience. Lastly, sharing my product and my learning with others to reflect my learning and getting ideas
