Stories of the future-Driving questions

Before Stories of the Future, I used to think that our planet was okay and not much would happen in 2050. Now, I think that there are many different major problems that we have to face, and if we ignore it now, it will come back worse in the future. For example, China has ignored pollution for many years in the past, which caused China to face consequences such as air with high levels of pm2.5. But now, China made many changes to fight pollution, solving many of its past problems. And this is important because it causes us inconvenience and such as health and other factors if we ignore it.

Stories of the Future helped me realize that there are many things I can do to help solve these problems. Knowing this, I want to start taking action to help solve some of the problems we have. For example, I can limit my shower time and eat less meat. This means that I am helping the planet by reducing the effects of climate change.

Dear: Cat, from my habitat design team.

Thank you for designing a house with me.

I think we did pretty good on our house design, the house we made matches both of our stories. For example, I used the house as my main characters’ house.

I think we did well on building on to each other’s ideas. For example, when I suggested adding windows in the bedrooms and kitchen, you added on to my ideas by saying: “maybe we should also add rectangular windows on bedrooms, kitchen and also the living room.  Thank you for doing that.

One thing I think we need to improve on is to compromise to create a new design together because, for our final blueprint, we didn’t really collaborate. We just used your original blueprint and made a few changes. I think I will communicate more so this won’t happen again.

Overall, I think we did pretty good on this project.

Sincerely:

Chris

Learning Reflection

After going throw my ratings, an area of strength is researching because I can develop, gather questions and information efficiently. For example, when I was researching for my Tech Proposal, I collected many useful questions about reading on a device, then I researched all of my questions and wonderings through websites and copied the ULR for future citations. I think that questions are really important because without question there will be no answer. I had a lot of question when I was writing my Tech Proposal, I researched all of them even the ones that are not that important. This helped me to understand my claim and supplied me with a lot of evidence to support my claim.

Looking through my ratings one thing I can work on is self-manager because some times, I make positive choices like sitting and talking to my friend during a work period. For example, one time, during a soft start, I sat with my friend and started talking to each other. Later, after Mr.Q explained the assignment, I had no idea what to do. One small thing that I can start doing is to find a better learning spot. This is important because It will help me learn more efficiently without distractions.

Project Self Reflections

Before Project Self, I used to think that the faster you understand the more efficient you are, which is why I used to rush things and only cared about speed and quantity. Now I think differently and always look back and check my work carefully. I learned to combine speed and efficiency. For example, when I finished writing by Tech Proposal, I checked it again and again, improving it every time until the deadline.  Project Self also helped me realize that I need to improve on capturing the heart, I think that a question without a conclusion is basically a waste of time. I think I need to work on this because I often ask important questions but never really looked deeper into the core. Many times, I missed important and useful details because of that. Overall, I think Project Self taught me a lot and fixed many of my mistakes.
