A) Describe how you feel and actwhen your mental health is thriving in the Green Zone. (Don’t just say ‘normal’ – what does that look like? What does it feel like?)
When my mental health is thriving in the Green Zone, I sometimes feel pleased, and sometimes I feel relaxed. When I look at things that are funny, I laugh a lot. I think my mental health is in the Green Zone when I laugh because I don’t need to think of anything that makes me feel stressed. In addition, when I talk with friends, it makes me feel relaxed. With my friends, I talk about things I got stressed about recently, and my friends listen to those. Then, I feel really relaxed. When I feel relaxed, I lie in sofa and close my eyes. This way I can really find my mental health in the Green Zone.
B) What are some techhabits and strategiesthat are keeping you thriving in the Green Zone? Describe them in detail. Also include people who help you with this. How else does using technology have a positive effect on your well-being?
To keep my mental health thriving in the Green Zone, I watch YouTube a lot. There are videos that can make me laugh, so I can release stress easily. However, sometimes I cannot control myself from stopping it, and get out of the Green Zone. Then, my mom always helps me to stop and stay in the Green Zone. Using a proper time on the technology affect my well-being in a positive way.
C) Think about your tech use and habits(social media and/or gaming and/or E-learning). What are the triggers/challengesthat take you out of thriving in the Green Zone and into the unsettled/struggling feelings of the Yellow/Orange Zones? Use what you know about the brain, sleep and the effects of tech on mental health as you answer this question.
There are many triggers and challenges with the technologies when I go to bed to sleep. I look at my phone before I sleep, and the time looking at it gets longer. Because there is no one to stop me from it at night, I watch it for more than an hour. At first my mental health is in the Green Zone, but because of the blue light coming from the technology, I can’t sleep very well, which led my mind to get close to Yellow/Orange Zones. Then, in the morning, my brain had been affected in a negative way, so my mind is unhealthy. Long time on technologies can cause negative effects on the brain.
D) Describe how you feel and actwhen you are unsettled or struggling in the Yellow/Orange Zones.
I feel so stressed and just want to sleep for hours when I am in the yellow/orange zones. My mental health is unstable and make me feel stressed. I sometimes just scream… or stay in my room alone.
E) What are some strategiesthat you have used to help you get back to the Green Zone? Describe a time when you have used it. Or, if you currently don’t have any strategies, think about the Mindfulness strategies from the previous post. Describe a time when you could have used one of those strategies or habits and how it would have made you feel. Also include people who could help you with this.
To get back to the Green Zone, I try not to talk with anybody. If someone bothers me, that way it just ruins my mental again. I stay in my room alone and try not to be addicted to the technology but use it just to release stress.
