Reflection: I am pleased with my final product, but it is slightly different from my first plan and the intentions I had at first. The most important part of my chair is that it is able to adjust angles to be more comfortable for sitting; this can be seen in my first two cardboard prototypes. However, I couldn’t do that in the acrylic trials due to time limitations. The bottom area is still left for storage, but maybe next time, I will make it more aesthetic. The most eye-catching part of my chair is the wings. At first, I wanted it to be as big as the whole chair to cover all the functional features that are not as aesthetic, but because of my calculation issue, the wings are a little misproportioned. While spray painting the chair, I came up with the idea of turning the two flat parts into wings. Considering how different heights will look better, the left wing is higher than the right. The colors that I have chosen for the main body of the chair are light pink, light grey, bright violet, and dark blue. These colors can represent the galaxy. I started with just spraying the wings black, but I added a tint of dark grey to echo with the base. The texture of the spray paint is not smooth, and you can see the spots of the uneven paint, so the colors won’t blend entirely and create this kind of misery. Though it is not the same as my original plan, it is worth creating and worth the time from the aesthetic perspective.
