Problems that I came through:

  1. The triangular setup of the popsicles will hinder the bamboo stick from spinning. To solve this issue, I recreated it into a square arrangement.
  2. I first used a plastic straw, but the straw melted and froze quickly when putting on hot glue. Therefore, I changed the straws to paper ones that wouldn’t melt at high temperatures.
  3. The car wouldn’t move properly and spins towards one side. I first tried to solve it by adding duck tape on the two back wheels to add more grip to the ground. It worked partially as it was less floaty and unstable. However, the car was still spinning towards one side. So I tried to add more weight to the vehicle and used erasers at first. I tried adding erasers on both sides, one side and the other side separately, but it did not work because the weight was not heavy enough, so there was basically no difference. At last, I tried putting on the large screwdriver that is heavier on both sides. The car moves slower but finally works.

Problems that still need to be solved/improvements:

My car is still a little wobbly but moves fine. This could be due to the bamboo stick, and the popsicle is not aligned precisely 90 degrees. I could add another popsicle or two diagonally between the existing popsicle by solving this.

I only managed to finish a prototype of a functional part that makes the car spin. I did not have time to create the aesthetic aspect of my car, the rat design on top. Iwilld try to sow a rat out of fabric and cotton if I have further chances to complete my work.
