Flesh and Blood So Cheap by Albert Marrin is a true modern story that takes place around the 1900s. Jews and Italians came to America to start a new life and find a stable job, however unlike how the immigrants expected they were forced into human labor. Not only were they  mistreated they were also paid the minimum amount for their works

One of the most important theme I found while reading this book was, if a great deal of power is given to an irresponsible person, others will suffer due to one’s poor divisions.   This book is worth reading for people who have strong background knowledge of the 1900s however for people who don’t have a strong background knowledge this book is not worth reading because it will be just boring.

Some of the many things I learned thought out this unit was, taking different types of notes, learning how to link the evidence and the statement.
