This time in the seminar I think that I did better than last time because I was ready for this one and I had spoken more than I would usually do. But there are also lots of things that I can do to be better, I think I can add more real-life connections and have more literature language.

 My product is glowing fashion accessories. It uses electrical energy into light energy; this product is targeted to anyone interested in fashion accessories, man or woman. The idea of the light-up clothing had given me an idea of what if had an accessory for the clothes. The clothes were my starting point, and I found out that it was not achievable in my time given.  My product would be environmentally friendly is for the diamonds of the accessories. Using the LED lights to light up requires a low level of voltage, so it should be safe.  I will be using creativity by putting the recycled glass/diamond pieces together and seeing if I can put little light in them to make different colors. 

In the formative Socratic seminar I had lots of things to improve on, was firstly not prepared and was not communicating in the group. This time I don’t think that I had something that I did well.  For the next time of the Socratic seminar, I want to get a ME for my grade, and for that t happen I would need to read the book more carefully and understand it also needs to ask questions, communicates with the people in my group, be prepared, and start talking.

After looking at the exemplar and the feedback I got from Dr. Maloney, I relsied that  I should have had written the MLA  format and i should have put the citations in as well. Also most importantly i should have not write it in the 1st person view.  i don’t really think i did someting that was good, but i do had some goals for next time. my goal is to have the habit of writing in 1st person view and also forgeting to put citations.

I feel like I did the best on my creative writings but not the whole creative writing workshop, even though I got an approaching I still feel like I improved my writing from last year.  I still need to work on lots of things in English for example, reading and understanding the text and understanding the theme of a story. How I can improve on these things that I have problems with is I can read more books and practice writing by myself in my free time so I can understand more how it is like to write and have more of a creative mind. Also, I should talk more English to get a better understanding when I don’t know. I can also ask my teacher when I am confused or when I don’t know what to do for an assignment. IXL is also a really good source to help me get better in English 9 this year.

Right now the book that I am reading makes me feel like I would like to jump into the deeper meaning of the book and also to understand more of the techniques that the author does to help us as readers to understand everything and to feel like we are living in the book. what I would like to do is to read lots of the parts that I think are useful in the book and start to put some annotations to help me when we are going to start the end of year project, but I will also be reading other books just not as much as I will be reading The Hate U Give.

I still need to work on a lot of things for example my grammar and my narrative techniques.

The book that I am reading is The Hate U Give. Right now the main character in this book had gone to a party and she feels that she doesn’t fit in and she feels really uncomfortable. I actually really enjoy this book it is really fun to read because the book has lots of details and an interesting setting.

My strengths are I can read and write and my weaknesses are I have a hard time getting important information in my head I tend to ignore the important messages in an article or an essay. one of my other weaknesses is I am not good at spelling and my grammar is not that good. This year I have two goals. my first goal is being able to stand in front of the class and give a speech or a talk, and also I would want to try to read 5 books from start to finish throughout this year because I am not that good of a reader also because I don’t like to read. to help me achieve these goals I would like to have some book recommendations from my teacher and also I would have to manage my time for how long I should read and what type of books are good for me to read. another thing to help me achieve these goals are also to finish and do all the work that I am given. some obstacles I think that i will meet is when i am reading, i feel like i will feel bored and stop reading then i won’t read enough then I can’t reach my goal so that is a really big part of why I am not good at spelling.  I am not reading enough.
