Small individual colonies in the south of northern America, joined together to fight against the most powerful military at the time. The British. Leon, Alex, and I created a ‘Plain English’ video all about explaining the key points of the Revolution. The Boston tea party and the battle of Lexington and Concord, to the olive branch petition and the battle of Yorktown. There were many big changes caused by this relatively irrelevant revolution. It is surprising how a lot of this was started by the colonists wanting to stay in salutary neglect. An important thing I learned while learning about the American revolution was the different perspectives this took place in. From the British perspective, the colonies were straying away from Britain because they didn’t want to pay what little tax they had. While on the American/colonist’s perspective, it was all about taxation without representation in the parliament.
I enjoyed watching this video but I think the voice was a little bit small at the end and I think it would be better if you put some actual drawing in your video.
I like how you use a unique form of media when most of the class used paper cutouts and stop motion. I think this can be improved by further recording and re-recording of certain parts for a better quality video. I also think this is improved by a entire timeline (e.g. There is a long timeline, but events are added along the timezone as the video goes on).
