I just finish the book, “My name is Ah Si”. There’re many changes since my last reflection, the main character Ah Si and her family had changed a lot.  Her parents were killed by the government. Because at first, her family was rich, later the government just confiscated her father’s factory.  And they don’t have food to eat.  Ah, Si doesn’t trust people anymore, and she wants to avoid the red army.  She doesn’t think Mao is a great leader, she found many disadvantages of the cultural revolution. Last time, I thought she will fight against Mao and the new China, but she didn’t. She is only 15 years old girl. That’s impossible for her, and she is still too weak. I would recommend this novel because it helps you to know the history of the cultural revolution, to help you learn the history from a different perspective. The author just uses simple language, and It’s written in chronological order. I think the theme of this book is the cultural revolution destroyed many citizens and children.
