Claim : Percy Jackson should learn to control his emotions, and stay calm when his emotions get out of control

Evidence: In chapter 1, Percy Jackson was extremely annoyed by Nancy Bobofit’s inappropriate language and said “Will you shut up?” But if Percy did  control the frustrated thoughts within him, he would’ve gained more time to listen to Mr. Brunner talking about the greek myths, and he would’ve gained less attention.

Reasoning: If Percy was able to control his temper, and maybe stay away from making others mad, he might’ve been able to be a hero like in the greek myths, but Percy was not capable of controlling his emotions which lead to all sorts of problems such as gaining bad reputation, getting himself into trouble.  Percy himself knew that he had ADHD and that causes Percy to not be able to stay calm, still and solve things with a peaceful attitude, and according to ‘Why do we lost control of our emotions?’ It is because his emotions get too overwhelming and this causes him to lose his temper and the logical part of him is unable to take control.
