In the forest there is this family, the father, mother their children Matt and Sarah. Matt’s 13 years old, while he had another sibling just born, his family all went to travel and would be back in 6-7 weeks. Matt was alone and could only fish and only had one rifle. One day a white man named Ben came to his house, matt served him food and Ben slept so Matt went to sleep too, but the next day he found his rifle missing! Matt suspected that ben took it but he couldn’t do anything about it, so his only meat source is by fishing. But their salt is running out so the fish wouldn’t taste as good anymore. So matt went to go on the bee tree, a tree where there is honey on it and since he was so hungry he decided to try, but he got stung very badly all over the place. He dropped down to the pond for safety but got stuck in it from the weeds in the pond and suddenly something lifted him up and his pain died away. When he woke up again he saw the Indian man next to him, the Indian man was called Sakins and he brought his grandson the next day and he was called Attean. Sakins wanted Attean to learn the White man’s language so he sent Attean to Matt’s house every single day because Matt had a English book so Attean could learn from Matt. At first Attean didn’t enjoy it, he though the book Matt read and taught him, Robin Cursoe’s story was too unfair, he stated that the Indians should rule not kneel down to white men. Matt worried that Attean wouldn’t come again but Attean still did and he brought Matt meat! Attean taught Matt how to catch rabbit’s, and helped Matt make a bow and arrow, and Attean gave Matt his dog afterwards. But later on the Indians had to move, Sakins gave Matt some moose skin boots and they were getting ready to leave for winter, they won’t ever come back again. One day Attean told matt that he was getting his manitou, Matt didn’t know what it is but he clearly knew that it was a very important thing to Attean. The next time Matt saw Attean, he looked different, more older. Saying a goodbye they left, their tribe is leaving this place forever. Later on Matt’s family came back home, but Matt’s mom was sick and the new born baby didn’t survive the cold so it passed away. But matt told his family all his adventures with Attean.

Characteristics: Matt is a white boy, he lives in a forest made out of logs, he has a sister named Sarah and got a dog from Attean.

Connections: I understand that how he missed his parent, I would be very lonely without anyone in a forest by myself and especially when my only weapon to protect myself got stolen.
