Cuba Almost Ended the World: Here’s the Story…

Throughout this video made by Yuki, Grace and I, we explain the events that took place during the Cuban Revolution in a way that is easy for everyone to understand. We discuss events ranging from the Fulgencio Batista’s first presidential term in 1940 all the way to the Cuban Missile Crisis in 1962 and their everlasting effects on Cuba and the world, introducing how the revolution came to be, how a hugely outnumbered group of rebels successfully overthrew the government as well as the disastrous effects of this revolution and how it had the entire world on the brink of a nuclear war, almost ending life on earth. The Cuban Revolution has displayed signs of corruption and greed in the government, the separating gap between the upper class and lower class, the oppression forced onto the people and how they decided to fight back for their rights, just like many other revolutions that have happened all throughout history. At the end we included our own insights as to whether or not the revolution was worth it, taking into consideration all the impacts and costs. Enjoy!!

  1. I really like the sound effects placed properly throughout the video. I really think the only small thing is the lighting was slightly off! 😀
