Overview
The 2 Buckets Challenge is where you create two “buckets”, one bucket being problems—big or small—that are present in the world and the other being popular well-known companies and brands. The purpose is two combine one thing from each bucket to easily and quickly generate design concepts that will utilise the advantage these companies have to address present issues.

Reflection
I think this project really challenged me and pushed me to think outside of the box. It was really easy to make simple connections between the brands but it was harder to find a unique connection, past the obvious. There was a lot of trials and some ideas felt like they didn’t make the most sense, but there were still ones I felt had the potential to be developed further (starred on rough sketch pages). Once I had found an idea I liked about a topic that I care deeply about, it became easier to develop the concept and how it connects with a brand. Being able to think about how all these big companies have so many possibilities to make a change within these issues—whether they are social issues, environmental issues or even daily annoyances—makes you think why they are not doing something about it. This short project has been really thought-provoking and inspires me to want to do more to make a difference.
