My biggest success in making the door was drawing and cutting out the pieces of paper we are going to be sticking onto the paper. For example, the rat and the clouds were cut out really neatly and it fit onto the paper. My biggest obstacle was cutting the handle and the little circle at the bottom, and the measurements were kind of off. One thing I’d like to change is cutting out the handle and the circle at the bottom of the door. If I did this again, then I would make sure the measure everything more carefully and to add more things to the middle of the door because it looked a little blank in the middle.

This is my prototype made for design. We were trying to make something to will prevent the over usage of smart phones. This prototype is in favor of both domestic animals and humans because the animals will be adopted so people will be able to use their phone. Then, hopefully, they will find out how good pets are! One success I had while doing this is the black dot and the cutting. The knife I used was really sharp and the cardboard is really thin so when I cut it it was really easy. A obstacle I faced is when i wanted to curve the cardboard, it ripped so i had to cut another one.

 

 

 

For my biggest success, it is the door. The door is made so that it would be where you want it to be so that its easier to manage. You don’t have to hold it since the gravity is holding it down. My biggest obstacle was cutting the six sides of the ice box because it was hard for me to cut a really clean cut, and sometimes i had to rip off some small piece to make it look better.  Cutting the cardboard needed a lot of arm strength for me, and I usually don’t workout so I have a hard time cutting a clean cut in the card board. Also, I had a hard time cutting really equal piece, so its looks really jagged. One thing i would like to change is to change the door. I would want to make the door not opening downwards, but like a regular door you see everyday. On the planning paper, it was supposed to be like a normal door, but when i was making it, i noticed that I could also make it go downwards, and since i need to hold a lot of things while i’m building, it was easier. But after the whole thing is finished, i regret making it go downwards even though it might have some stars. The impact of this product will be that people wont’ forget about the ice cream they won’t eat it once its expired.
