Breaking the Rules of Photography

The purpose of rules in photography is to keep everything put together and pleasing to the eye. I think even if you don’t know about the rules of photography, it is easy to break them. I also think that bad pictures can still be good. If everything is planned out well enough, it can still be great. The main rules of photography are keep the exposure right, don’t cut off limbs, the rule of threes, have a main point in the image. Context is important in photography because at first glance,  John Baldassari’s Image is just seen as wrong and weird. However, when you know the context and see how strategical it was, it becomes a great photo in my opinion.
