Abstract

abstract art uses shape line and colour to create different and unusual things that are still pleasing to look at.

Pictorialism photography is based off aesthetic and also principles. Pictorialism makes it look more like paintings.

Straight photography is when photos are sharp and rich in detail. the goal is to show something in it’s natural, real, state. Or, just as the camera sees it. Aaron Siskind was clearly influenced by the straight photography movement because his photos seem to be uneditied and they are very simple.

Uta Barth is a German-American abstract photographer. You can tell her photos are abstract because her photos feature lines and shapes very often. They also tend to be out of focus or have simple but interesting little quirks to them.
