The message I want to send out is that the world is always moving, and time does not stop. Let go of your problems and move on. To portray this message, I will deliberately take my set of photos out of focus and/or use a long shutter speed, making them blurry giving a sense of euphoria and surrealism, letting the audience take in their own thoughts based on the photo. I want the audience to feel at peace and calm but also to have a feeling of wanting to move on when observing my photos, as well as giving them a sense of euphoria, forgetting all their problems. For inspiration, I have looked at photographers like Uta Barth, Ernst Haas, and Frances Seward. These photographers’ photos have made an impact on the way I would like my set of photos to turn out as I think they exemplify the feeling I want to achieve that is brought to the audience. I think being able to portray a calm setting and letting the viewers interpret their own feelings with the photo is something really interesting to me.
