In pre-revolutionary France, there was a political system, there was a thing called “The old regime”. This was all about the three estates. The first estate were the church and people who worked in holy places. The second estate were the nobles who had the most of wealth at that period of time. The third estate were rest of the citizens. There were tons of privileges. On the other hand, the the third estate had no privileges but disadvantages. The third estates had to pay all the taxes even though they were the poorest from the all three estates. But the revolution changed everything.
