The Terror that Follows the Revolution

I will tell you who I am. I am a survivor of the death of my own father. A survivor of starvation. A survivor of the Terror of 1793. And most of all, a survivor of the French Revolution. During the period of the revolution, I took journals to track my journey on this horrible path towards liberty, equality and fraternity.

Was the revolution worth it? I think it is still too early to tell. Many things changed. Some continuities are that France went from monarch to monarch and that Roman Catholicism remained, although more suppressed, during the revolution. Some changes are the demolishment of the hierarchy, end of absolutism and it brought ideas of freedom and liberty into Europe.
