I responded to Lindsay Adler by mimicking her usage of lighting, which utilizes strong, contrasting light and catches the audience’s attention with the demanding color of bright lights. In detail, I decided to use a mix of two colors for lighting: the first couple of photographs are a combination of pink and blue, whereas the other few images are a mix of cold blue and warm light. This brings contrast and complicity to the photograph and makes the work more visually appealing, capturing more attention; the different colors establish a complex mood and emphasize the character’s expression even more. Nevertheless, most of the photographs I took in this collection are blurry and without faces. So, later in my final project, I think I will take more close-ups and increase the sharpness of my work.
