Experimenting Elements
Contact Lenses
By acquiring contact lenses that resemble lizard eyes, I introduced a unique and captivating element to my project. These lenses can transform the appearance of the human eye, creating an otherworldly and reptilian aesthetic. The intricate details and colors of lizard eyes can add depth and intrigue to my photographs, enhancing the overall impact of my work.
Red Lighting
Incorporating red lights into my setup contributes to the atmosphere and mood of my project. Red lighting can evoke emotions such as intensity, mystery, or even a sense of danger. It can enhance the reptilian theme by evoking associations with reptile habitats, infrared vision, or mythical creatures. Experimenting with different lighting angles, intensities, and placements can help me achieve the desired visual effect and amplify the overall ambiance of my photographs.
Camera and Macro Lens
Through my exploration of different camera types, I determined that using a macro lens camera is the most suitable choice for capturing the intricate details of the lizard-like eyes. A macro lens allows me to focus on close-up shots, enabling me to highlight the textures, patterns, and fine nuances that make the eyes resemble those of a lizard. The use of a macro lens enhances the realism and visual impact of my photographs, ensuring that the minute details are captured with precision.
Face Painting
My experimentation extended to face painting, where I applied scales resembling those of a lizard onto my model’s face. This technique adds an additional layer of visual interest and authenticity to my project. However, I observed that the scales appeared larger than desired. As I proceed to the final product, I plan to adjust the size of the scales to align more closely with my original vision. This adjustment will help me achieve the desired balance and aesthetic, ensuring the scales harmonize with the overall composition and create a cohesive look.
