Is the revolution worth being, I as a historian, personally believes that its very worth it! Firstly, American revolution established the first great democratic elected government with republican political system. Other Latin American countries were inspired by the Americans to start fight their metropolitan state to start a revolution. The American revolution also accelerated the French revolution. The French helped the Americans in the war, which cause them a lot of money and deaths, which made the French government fall into debt crisis, this weakened the French government. The success of American revolution also spread the idea of freedom of democracy and republicanism which also lead to the French revolution. With the foundation of United States, this nation slowly became the strongest country in the world now.

Ten Days a Madwoman by Deborah Noyes is a brilliant story about a woman’s life. The girl’s name is Nellie Bly. Nellie Bly lived in an age where there were a severe gender discrimination happening and a huge problem with the society’s mental illness. The story sets where Nellie is just trying to be a journalist in New York, then she found out that women are not treated well as men, they earn less money, they have less power, and people have a mindset as easy as “women is just a housewife that take care of kids and do house works” only men can do work and earn money. She contributed a lot to the women’s right. One example is She broke the record of a men travelling around in 70 days by using 7 days less to complete the journal. Keep reading to find out more evidence about how the theme grew throughout the b Book.

First, I want to say this book is Fabulous, really encourage people who like history to read this. As you scroll down my notes, please note the main theme and the problem I listed.

This page is about the main problem discussed in the book! Which is Gender Discrimination. I used arrows to show how this problem was developed through the book and how Nellie faced it. The green words are thinking about what Nellie did. Overall, she is a very great full woman which contributed a lot to the whole society.

This page is some evidence supporting what I wrote above, the blue words show what I think and the explanation of what the quotes are talking about.

Here is more evidence of the gender discriminations in the book. When men did something contributive and influential, why could women not do that? According to this quote, Nellie is trying to prove to the world that woman can also be influential. The bottom of the page is the claim I made according to the book.

“Government should take actions to control mental illness and make the society better!”

This book didn’t explain a lot about mental illness, if you don’t read closely, you might not even find out this problem. But mental illness is a very important topic in the time where Nellie was. The quotes down below are some very extreme exerts from the book, it really made me feel shocked when I read through them.

Overall, Thanks for making it all the way through the bottom, this book is really a great book about the life in the 19th century. After reading, I got shocked by how people treat mental illness people and how gender discrimination were a severe problem. To found out more, go read this book out!

FOUND POEM/Paragraph

This found poem is made to describe one of the main conflicts in the short story “Lamb to The Slaughter,” written by Roald Dahl. The conflict I chose to focus on is at the beginning of the story, where the main character, Mary, finds out that her husband wants to leave her. This is an internal conflict because the struggle happens inside Mary’s mind. She has to decide what to do to avoid not getting abandoned by her husband. After her husband tells her he is leaving, she feels shock, disbelief, and numbness. The author describes her shocked reaction as sitting still with “dazed horror.” Her disbelief is shown when “she went about her business and acted as though she hadn’t been listening.” Finally, her numbness was described as “she couldn’t feel anything at all. “It depict this internal conflict; I made the image using Word and hand drawings.

I used the color green for the background because green mean divorce or when somebody leaves in Chinese; I drew an image of the skull to represent someone bad happens, in this case it’s called the “Death”; I also used the phrase, “So I’ve killed him” to show that Mary killed her husband without any hesitation, that makes this character scary. “She simply walked behind him” can show that there’s another character in this scene, which is the husband. I think my found poem does a good job both literally and through design to show the internal conflict of Mary trying to not let the divorce happen, but she didn’t stop it, so Mary decided to use a leg of lamb to end this conversation.

Percy Emotion Managing

Percy Jackson need to improve on managing his emotions. He is often angry because of small things, when he is angry, he doesn’t care about what he says and what he does, he doesn’t care about another people’s feeling, let’s check how he behave in the book.

“Will you shut up!?!?!?!’ — it came out louder that I meant”.  This shows that he couldn’t control his volume of voice when he is angry, and he doesn’t think about the consequences

You can’t control other people, but you can control how you react them – Anon. This quote means that that you can control what other people says and do, but you can control how you act/behave to them. You can choose how you feel.

“I tried to stay cool, the school counselor had told me a million times”. This means that he is trying very hard to stay cool and be calm, but he still couldn’t control his emotions, so we understand that even though he is trying very hard to control his emotions, he still couldn’t control his emotions

Anybody can become angry – that is easy, but to be angry with the right person and to the right degree and at the right time and for the right purpose, and in the right way – that is not within everybody’s power and is not easy. – Aristotle this sentence can tell us that if percy wants to be angry at someone, he have to be in the right time, right place, and the right reason.
