Table Hockey

This is the game we made:Air Hockey

The rules of our game was that two people would play each other using the paddle to hit the ball, trying to make in the other person’s goal. Each goal count as a point and the first person to 5 points wins. Also, you cannot cross the middle line or the goal area, otherwise you just give a free point to the opponent.

Our biggest obstacle was cutting out the big base at the bottom since it needed to be big and cut out nicely to fit the size we wanted.

One thing I’d like to change is to make the paddles more stable and to make the surface more smooth to make the experience better for the 4th graders.

My biggest success was our big platform because it was hard to make but after i made it i was really proud of myself.

Water Filter Design Challenge

Materials: Mesh, rubber band, plastic cup, gravel, cotton balls, fabric.

Engineering is important because it connects with many other jobs in life.

Our challenge was to attach the mesh to the cup with a rubber band.

Our design was so-so since the water filtered was still pretty dirty, we choose this design because using this design the water will go through multiple filters which makes it a better choice .

I would add more fabric than cotton since fabric filters the water while cotton balls soaks up the water .

Welcome to Your New Blog!

When you blog you create posts and posts are categorised according to your subject. Some categories have already been set up for you. If you need more categories you can add them as needed. It’s important that your posts have the following:

  • An engaging title – this should not include the name of the subject since this is referenced in the category.
  • Body – this is where you share your learning. This can include text, images, embedded videos from Dragons’ Tube or elsewhere. You should always consider how your post looks to your audience. Is it engaging? Do they want to keep reading?
  • Category – select one that has been set for you or add a new category. Posts can have more than one category e.g. Humanities and Myself as a Learner
