Found Poem for “Lamb to the Slaughter” by Roald Dahl

The found poem I wrote on top of the short story is “Lamb to the Slaughter” by Roald Dahl. This story is about how Mary Maloney had a conflict with her husband (there were two, man vs. society and man vs. man, the one I chose was man vs. man) and she hit her husband with the leg of lamb which caused his skull to break and caused him to die. This is the reason that the external conflict is person vs. person. This story is very dark and reflects real life as sometimes we might want to hit someone who is very close to you but who has done something that irritates you. The darkest part of the story is when the police discovers that she is the murder, and she laughs in the other room which creeps me out. The reason I chose these words is because that these words reflect the external person vs. person conflict in this story.

Mary Maloney I think has some kind of psychological problem, because she goes to 2 sides of extreme, either loving her husband very much or hating him so much that she murders him. If you want to check out more about matricide, go to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mariticide
