I think engineering is important because it makes people’s life easier. When we meet problems, we can solve them by engineering something that can solve the problem.  Our challenge was to clean dirty water into clean water that we can drink. We choose this design because it was the simplest and most successful out of all the designs we thought about. our design was pretty successful but the water was still kind of dirty. I think we would make a more stable design an have a little more filters so the water can be cleaner.
