How the world rescued 33 miners from 2000 feet below the Chilean Desert

Marc Aronson (https://marcaronson.com) the author of Trapped wrote about the unthinkable collapse that happened in Capilano, Chile, in early August 2010, when a mine collapsed, trapping 33 miners 2,000 feet below the surface. They lived on scant supplies for 69 days, with increasingly bad air quality. When they were finally rescued, the world watched in awe and delighted in the miners’ incredible spirit and determination. What might have been a horrific tragedy turned into an incredible survival story.
This book was insanely good. Hope my notes will help you understood the book even better.

The first central idea I came up was that the mine is dark and deep full of danger.

As I read further, I discovers that mines should be safer. The whole book is about the safeness of the mine. If the mine is safer, nothing dangerous would have happened. If there is an escape route, the drilling wouldn’t have come.

One of the most important harvests is that I learn about narrative test and informational text. It helps me find out more character traits, how parts fit together, how character interact, the motivations and conflict, hidden issues and multiple central ideas and themes…

Thank you for reading my post. If you are interested in my book, you can check out this book (Trapped) out. Hope you like it!
