This song describes when Katniss and Peeta enters the capitol. This song is energetic yet uplifting because it’s the first time Katniss and Peeta are witnessing the Capitol crowds. This song demonstrates their hope to win the Hunger Games.
Young and Beautiful
This song demonstrates their relationships throughout the Hunger Games. Katniss and Peeta are both young and beautiful, which matches with the song title as well. The theme displayed by this song is their aspiring love in the Hunger Games.
Titanium
This song is about Katniss’s immortality in the Hunger Games. Katniss is courageous, resourceful and mature throughout the Hunger Games. She is determined to save Peeta and herself and stay alive in the games. The lyrics of Titanium include ‘You shoot me down, but I won’t fall I am titanium’. Katniss is immortal to the Hunger games, thus she is conveyed as a ‘titanium’.
Without you
This song shows Katniss’s resolute to win the Hunger Games with Peeta, so that both of them would win the game. The lyrics of this song includes ‘I will never win this game without you’. Thus, this song literally expresses Katniss’s determination to to win the Hunger Games with Peeta. Furthermore, Katniss would never win the games without Peeta.
Returning Home
This song expresses Katniss’s contentment when she returns home to district 12. She is delighted to see Primorose, her mother and Gale. Returning home is a calming background music as Katniss and Peeta arrive at district 12.

This song conveys the fighting scene in the ending. Muttations is the name given to genetically modified animals created by the Capitol. They have been inside the Hunger Games arena to kill Katniss and Peeta. The song muttations shows the eeriness and strangeness of the atmosphere in the arena as Katniss and Peeta kills other tributes.

Trap is a mysterious song that demonstrates the mood in the Hunger Games. Katniss and Peeta interferes multiple moments of strangeness throughout the Hunger Games, since the Capitol provides multiple mutations to kill Katniss and Peeta. Trap is a instrumental song that will convey the atmosphere in the Hunger Games.

This song is the main soundtrack of the movie, Hunger Games. It demonstrates the resolution of the Hunger Games. The resolutions displays themes of hope, peace and fulfillment. ‘The Hunger Games’ is a relaxing song which leads to the resolution of the Hunger Games.
