Maps and Metaphors

Autobiography Map

This is a project I did for Humanities. The below are some clues why I made the symbols like this…

My apartment is a plain,  because my apartment doesn’t have much things unique, like a plain.

Swimming is a mountain, because swimming has no end, just like the mountains.

My family is a valley, because my sibling and I are in the middle between mountains.

River is my life, because I believe they have no end.

My older brother is a volcano, because he always explodes with his anger and actions, which makes me scared the whole time.

My friends are an oasis, because they always encourage me.

My name is an island, since my name is not common and very unique.

Korea is a peninsula, because it is surrounded by a lot of interests. Also in general, Korea is a peninsula.

Friendship problems are a forest, since it’s hard to find a way to solve it.

My lake is a brain, because many things are mixed up in a lake, just like how many unorganized things wander around in my brain.

My goals are a desert, because they are far behind me, and I have to reach for it without any tools.

My dreams are a coast, since they vanish away when I ‘m hopeless about the specific dream.

Math is an ocean, because I’m always sinking in the ocean, calling for hep.
