The title of the book I am reviewing is Tight, by Torrey Maldonado. My theme statement is that the author believes that Expectations often compels people to act unlike themselves. The book is 177 pages long, with no sequel, and ends on a cliffhanger. The book is Realistic Fiction and revolves around a boy named Bryan, who makes friends with a boy called Mike, who introduces him to a whole new world of getting into trouble and being “tough”. The book is told in first person and is from Bryan’s perspective.
