Statement of Intent

“Passing of a Teenager’s Time” explores the overall monotonous nature with pieces of the excitement of a student’s life of going to school, going home, sleeping, and repeating. I want my audience to feel a sense of boredom and relate to the never-ending cycle of school and life in general, but to also find the joys in different parts of the day. I got inspiration by looking for photographs that encompass a circular composition, and have a sense of movement.

Above is a sketch of how I would want the piece to look like as a composition, with each highlight or part of my day as one square.
