The decisive moment

This is a photo that I took on accident that shows the decisive moment where a man walked into the screen. I think that this is interesting because he add contrast and interest to the photo since he is in the front and kind of blurry while the people in the back are clear.

Centered

This is a photo that I thought was interesting with the smoke and person in the front, I think that the centered composition was the best choice because it emphasizes the focus on the man.

Rule of thirds

This photo looks the best in a rule of thirds composition because it allows us to see how the subject reacts along with the background.

Framing

This framing is interesting and unique because it almost has a triangle frame that isn’t seen often and also the part that is the frame-a bike-is shown to cover the man’s eyes perfectly, making it feel mysterious.

Pattern

The pattern of the railing creates visual interest, and allows the man to stand out.

Tones

This photo has tones where the dark is significantly darker than the light, and even among the light there is subtle tones of darkness. This creates visual interest so the even among the contrast, it is still interesting.

Red Photos

I chose the first photo because I loved the lighting from one side, the focus and clearness on the man’s face, and the composition of the man’s face with the smoke adding interest.

I chose the second photo because I liked the composition of the man on the left, I liked how the glass added an interesting element where some parts of the reflection were clear while other parts were foggy from the heat of the smoke. I also think that the row of spices hanging above the man in a straight line adds color and makes it more interesting.

I chose the last photo because even though this photo was an accident, I liked the contrast of the form and darkness of the man against the background. The background is in focus, while the man is kind of blurry, I think that that looks interesting.

Street Photos Yellow

I selected these photos because I felt that they had the potential to be the top pictures or the pictures that I ultimately will chose. My criteria was not very fixed and I just picked pieces that caught my eyes, like having a interesting composition, good contrast, and preciseness on the parts that I would like to focus.
