“I have done things, too”

My found poem was taken from paragraph 32-44 of the short story “Thank You Ma’am” by Langston Hughes. The main character are Roger, the protagonist, and the lady. Roger was struggles with whether or not to run away, he was tried to steal the lady’s purse, but he failed. After the lady said she has done things too, the boy chose to stay, and he knew she trust him, he didn’t want to be mistrusted. They trust each other. The lady is very kind to Roger, she let him go and gave him 10 dollars to buy the blue suede shoes he wanted at the end.
