A Way Out of the Pool of Blood

I have two different lives. One was terrible and confused, and another one was pleasant and quiet.

I was born in Mexico in 1893. As an indigenous farmer, I was working for foreign rich landowners. However, I only earned a little pay and had few rights in society. I lived through a period of darkness and bloodiness, the Mexican Revolution. Fortunately, I’m glad that I was safely lived through this whole period, and now, I’m going to uncover the true face of the revolution. Please read it with me.

Mexico had a largely feudal social and economic base before the revolution. Agriculture and mining are the two major parts of the economy. After the Mexican Revolution, the Mexican social system became more democratic. Indigenous peasants had more rights in society. Also, the Mexican Revolution was a great inspiration for Mexico’s artists and writers. Lots of fantastic artworks were established after the revolution. However, there was still violence happened in Mexico and still presidency in Mexico. As a result, Mexican society had a significant change after the revolution. It brought political change and social change to Mexico and all this chaos was finally ended in Mexico.
