Green Selection

Set 1 Green Selection

For the Green Selection, I chose images that fit with the topic of water and ice reflection. The first four rows were ice reflection and the rest of the pictures were water reflection. These photos also aligned with my vision since the water and ice reflection means the viewers are looking the world upside down, creating a new perspective of daily object around ourselves. Moreover, all the photographs were in focus and has a correct exposure.

Yellow Selection

Set 1 Yellow Selection

For the yellow selection, based on the green selection, I chose photographs that has other elements that create a visual effect. For instance, some of the photos include light and shadow in them, and some have strong colors. These elements in the photographs aligned with the style of Ernst Hass. Additionally, the light and shadow in some of the photos also highlighted the colors in the pictures, making a contrast between different objects. Thus, these images in the yellow selection were the photos that adapted to the style of Ernst Hass.

Red Selection

Set 1 Red Selection

For the red selection, I chose photographs that aligned with my vision and the style of Ernst Hass. All five images were reflection of water, which was what I originally aimed to work with to achieve my vision. Moreover, due to the reflection, all the objects were upside down, which are presented in a unique perspective. My vision is the find the world’s novelty, and by looking at things that we often see in real life in a different way, these pictures bring a new way to look at our world. Additionally, the photos explore the relationship between nature and people where nature is represented by the trees and the people were the viewers. Furthermore, these photographs also aligned with Ernst Hass’ style. Ernst Hass often uses strong colors to create contrast, and in these pictures, there were strong colors like green and red that contrast with other colors, creating a strong visual impact.
