In this project, we must build a device that converts one form of energy to another. It is important that the product should function, be aesthetically appealing, have a purpose and a client, be original, and should be durable and safe for the user. Considering the time, we need to regulate the project and formulate outlines with precise premises efficiently.
What purposes might this design serve?
- Entertainments
- Health aids
- Display
- Simplifications
Defining the audience:
- Students
- Adult workers (Necessitates electricity/energy)
- Parents
- Elderlies
How to Make Air Cooler at Home, Easy Science Project at Home
Cooler: Electric – kinetic energy
The video above instructs the process to make an air cooler. I like its simplicity and the practical functions it can carry.
The device utilizes a fan operated by an electric battery and wires to connect to the switch. The cooling function is achieved by placing a layer of ice at the bottom of the container.
It is relatively easy to make and does not require many materials required to purchase. The materials are variable depending on what is available on campus. Most of the materials are recyclable, making them environmentally friendly. A downside of this design resembles its sustainability, as we are required to supply the ice cubes, reducing its convenience constantly.
This would be a 3/5 difficulty device and attaining skills.

DIY TOY CAR! How to make Speedy CAR! SUPER EASY and FUN!
Toy car: Elastic potential – kinetic energy
This video proposes a simple design of a toy car. The manufacturing process is relatively coherent and fundamental, enabling various alternative materials to be applied. The car utilizes a rubber band to create momentum and batteries to add weight, allowing the car to navigate correctly. However, the function of this design is exclusive, so it is inapplicable in many circumstances. The materials utilized in the process are accessible on campus, including rubber bands, plastic wheels, and anything that adds weight.

Faça um Incrível Motor Elétrico com Latinha de Alumínio e Matérias Simples
Electric motor: electric – magnetic – kinetic energy
This project demonstrates a detailed visualization of energy transfer, incorporating electricity to orientate the poles. The critical components of this project are the copper wires and the magnets, providing the mutual magnetic and repelling force. This design is practical as the fan is replaceable with other materials depending upon the function including the can to improve the appearance.
