Quiet Power a book written by Susan Cain gives the idea to introverts that they have mighty strengths. This book also talks about how hard it is to be an introvert but then shows the positive sides or the benefits of being an introvert.
Firstly, I believe the theme of the book is Introverts can make differences their way.
According to the book, introverts’ mindsets are different from extroverts, meaning that those people consider things differently, or from a different angle. People might believe introverts are people who would not be able to accomplish great things because of their fear to communicate and their different mindsets, but this is not true. Introverts are not Anti-social, they just believe in another way of socializing. This trait has a lot of advantages, and with this, they can create beautiful works. One example from the book is introverts have the ability to focus deeply on topics and activities and listen to others with empathy and patience.
Secondly, this book teaches what it means to ” Be yourself”.
Nowadays, Extroverts take up most of the world becoming the spotlight, or the center, because of their way of communication, and the world doesn’t focus on introverts as much. In the book, the author talks about how introverts can be proud and be themself. Introverts are as powerful as Extroverts, the only difference is how extroverts are fully willing to share thoughts, but that does not differ as much as introverts because introverts have their unique way of speaking and communicating their thoughts. For example, the book states that many introverts have the ability in becoming powerful writers, thus, this shows introverts would like to share their thoughts in another way instead of sharing them as extroverts.
Finally, this book teaches me about what it means to become an introvert, and I realized I could learn a lot of things from this book. This book taught me how to overcome challenges, and how to become braver, and I believe parts of this book apply to both introverts and extroverts. Before reading this book, I did not think introverts can accomplish so much, but this book shows me the accomplishments, and even how to achievef that. In conclusion, I believe Susan Cain illustrated a perfect book about introverts and how introverts, can have their, quiet power.
