How the lamp works:

 

  • Design Principle: Close the switch
  • The circuits would have a current which will pass through the LED light bulb, and because the circuit connects with both the light bulb and the button, so when you click the button, the light will be illuminated. But the current is weak so the illumination of the LED light will be weak too, so, it will work in the dark.
  • Because there’s a chemical change in these batteries, so by the chemical energy is transformed into electric energy, and then it will produce light energy.

Areas in my product were successful:

Because this lamp was designed for people who are afraid of the dark at night time, the weak lights can enhance their sense of security without disturbing their rest.

Where I need to improve:

Firstly, according to more functions of the light, I can make different illumination. For example, when the customers are studying, they can make the light brighter. But when they need to rest and go to sleep, they can make the light lower, which one light can be used for multiple requirements at the same time. Secondly, clicking the button to open the light will spend more time than the sound control. So, I can make it sound controllable to make it more comfortable for the elder and children.

Impact on the Environment:

Because the night light usually stays on all night, it consumes a lot of electricity. Electricity is made of coal, and burning coal has a great impact on the air and the environment. At the same time, coal is a non-renewable resource, so it is also very unfriendly to the environment.
