Reflection
In these photos took in 798, it uses variety choice of techniques including line, shape and repetition. By taking a picture of a whole/part of the stair, it displays a shape and lines that were formed by the stair and having a repetition of staircases. The combination use of techniques and the visual view of stairs conveys the meaning of the long path for future by giving a visual of long stairs.
These photos that are chosen made a connection with photos taken by Andrea Gursky, while having a mutual element of repetition and lines in both photos. For example, using Andrea Gursky’s most classic photo, the 99-Cent Triptych, it has frequently used repetition, shapes and lines to form the whole picture. However, there was still a limitation in 798 by comparing the actual scene that I expect. From photos taken by Andrea Gursky focuses on large frame. I realized that it is complicated to take photos that are big frames at 798 meanwhile scenes of 798 were usually more detailed instead of scenes that were big frame. This then becomes a barrier for me to achieve during the process.
