The Cuban Revolution was a pivotal event in the history of Cuba that took place from 1953 to 1962, resulting in the overthrow of the dictator Fulgencio Batista and the establishment of a communist government led by Fidel Castro. The revolution was driven by a complex set of factors, including economic inequality, political corruption, and social unrest, as well as Cold War tensions between the United States and the Soviet Union. The revolution was also influenced by Cuba’s history of colonialism, slavery, and political instability, as well as Fidel Castro’s charismatic leadership and his vision of a socialist Cuba. Ultimately, the Cuban Revolution had a profound impact not only on Cuba but also on the wider world, shaping global politics for decades to come.

I think it was a really good video you guys did a really good job on picking the right symbols to help explain the situation. I also like how you guys added background music but next time you guys should have it more quieter so its easier to listen to the person.

While our revolutions are similar on someone wanting to take over the country our revolutions are really different in the social class and the issues that came with the different social classes.

Our revolutions all started out as being dictated by a single leader who wants to control their country. They are different at the same time since your revolution has many different people fighting over the government when our revolution is about the people being unhappy with the government. I really like how you guys used specific photos and symbols, also with the very great background music.

While our revolutions are similar when it comes to both revolutions caused by low-mid-class citizens’ dissatisfaction about one dictator/ autocratic monarch, and foreign intervention, they are very different in the type of government established after the revolution. During the french revolution, a republic (democracy) was established, while Cuba established a socialist government after the revolution
