The book I read for my book club is called “I remember Beirut”. The author of this book is Zeina Abirached, she was born in Lebanon in 1981, she grew up in Beirut as fighting between christians and muslims. So Zeina Abirached wrote “I remember Beirut” to describe a family trying survive in the war zone which I think there’s some of her self experience written in her book.
