Context in Photography

There may be photos taken that break the rules of photography, however, as the photographer, you can decide how your photo will be taken. Depending on the message you are projecting in the photograph, it can’t be wrong unless you want it to be. Adding context to a photograph provides viewers with what the photographer’s goal was in the picture and what the picture represents from the photographer’s perspective. In John Baldessari’s photo, the title “Wrong” makes a difference in the way people view the photo. You can begin to see what rules weren’t used in the process of the photo and what the photographer intended to do in the photo.
