The Button that Killed the Husband

This found poem was taken from the short story “Button Button” by Richard Matheson from paragraph 90 to paragraph 113. The conflict that I wrote about is a character vs. character conflict, which is a conflict between Norma VS. Arthur. The protagonist is Norma, and the antagonist is Arthur. In the rising action of the story, Arthur argues against pressing the button, which theoretically would have killed a person, and in return giving the presser of the button fifty thousand dollars. Arthur argued that pressing the button is murder and you should not murder anyone, no matter what. But, Norma argues by saying that it could be a person that they never will see, and whose death they never will know about, then they should do that for the fifty thousand dollars. This passage concludes with Norma pressing the button in haste and killing Arthur by mistake.
