Lost in the Antarctic, a non-fiction book that tells us how courage is needed in the hardest times, takes place in 1914 to 1918. This all happens in the cold Antarctic. One of the places where there is only penguins, ice, and water. My main character,Ernest Shackleton is a respectable person. Even though he is living through one of the hardest times of his life, he can still take good care of his crew mates. One of the more minor characters is Wild. He was trapped on the island with some of the member of the crew of Endurance, the name of the ship that sunk. He was always full of enthusiasm. When he was with the crew, every morning he would tell them that the Boss may come today, he filled the crew with hope. Throughout this whole story there would be many difficulties that they would have to face. Many times, they faced death. They never gave up finally they had victory.
This first picture is about what I think the theme is about. I think the author wants to tell us that, “Many times in life, courage is needed.” This is a theme that I think would work throughout this whole book. Because there is many times in book and in life that courage is needed. 1863_001
The second picture is more about the central idea. The author is telling us that throughout this whole story bravery is needed. In this story there is many times that they were close to death. With out being brave there is nothing else they could do. 1864_001
The third page of notes is a cause and affect that I made. This is telling about the effects that I got by the causes. Which tells a bit about this whole story. 1866_001
The fourth page is the page that I searched things outside of the book. Even though not a lot of people would do this but I think this would be a really good chance for us to learn something new. 1865_001
