The Song of Peace would Call for Justice

I was a daughter. I used to be an elder sister. I was a lover of peace. A supporter of Castro. When I was younger I was a soldier, I was a killer. I was a sad elder sister. A disappointed citizen. I’ve been through highs and lows my whole life. I have been through the most terrible time in Cuba. I am Adonica Diaz.

Conteunity and Change:

During the revolution, the most affected people were the poor. But when Castro became the president, he changed many things for the poor. Castro nationalized all the land and gave the land to the people again equally.  Also, the way that leader lead changed. Batista, he leads with an iron fist. When he was the president he turned Cuba into a dictatorship. But when Castro became the leader he made Cuba a communist country. But this angered America and this led to the breaking of the friendship between America and Cuba.

Even though many things changed for Cuba there are still lots of things that stayed the same. Cuba’s main income is sugar. The main export income of Cuba still came from sugar exporting. Also, Cuba was still not an independent country. They still could not support themselves if they didn’t have China and USSR supporting them.
