Bomb, Steve Sheinkin

Bomb.

Bomb is a book written by Steve Sheinkin dedicated to world war II, and constructing the weapon that would end world war II.

During the first chapters of Bomb, a scientist named Hahn was experimenting with two uraniums speeding towards each other catching speeding atoms along the way, and creating an explosion, this was the start of developing and constructing the atomic bomb. Then the point of view would shift to physicist Oppenheimer, who would make a great contribution to adapting and constructing the atomic bomb. Then Germany and America would go on to compete in who can construct an atomic bomb sooner. (basic summary of Bomb)

Throughout this story, it specifically informs you of all the operations and pursuits, which would make you understand and teach you more about what happens during world war II.

This story also teaches you how to build an atomic bomb later in chapter 3 page 96.

This is how an atomic bomb would be constructed:

first the materials required to build an atomic bomb would be a Tamper, two pieces of uranium, and a tube big enough to fit those items. Then after all the items are set in place, the tamper would launch the uranium pieces together making a huge explosion.
