Statement of intent

The message of my photo I want to show the real life of the people around us. The message is to let people really see the imperfect of everyone, nowadays people end up only showing the good or best side of themselves, which might let us forget the imperfect of everyone. I want my audience to really stop and consider and accept the fact that no one is perfect. For inspiration, I will try to find a photographer who explores amazing people, and a photographer who explores the use of zoom-in in his or her photo. In my own opinion, nowadays, people tend to hide the imperfect part of themself, which might cause others to forget the fact that no one is perfect and causes much self-doubt and anxiety.

street photo

For exploring the street photography. My group and I have tried different perspective of taking the photos. For example, there are very close up perspective and from a low perspective. And there are also a triangular one,Which in the photo there are three person standing and it creates a triangular shape. Personally I like the fifth photo the best because it shows a great use of Foreground middle ground and back ground. And it also Showed the shadow of the net that is Reflected on the person’s face Which create a great use of tone. The person also gave a very big smile as a movement, but knowing that It doesn’t look fake.

Bruce Gilden’s phhoto

Bruce Gilden might have been interested in taking real-life people and this is more natural, as we can see from the photo he usually takes photos of those real-life people’s looks and expressions. he might also be interested in taking photos from a zoomed-in perspective.  Last but not least he might be interested in making the photos with a high saturation of color.

If I were the photographer, I would name the photo ‘ real’ because I think the photo really shows how people are in real life. most people nowadays will only smile, and do a cheese post when taking photos, but that does really show who they are, and their feelings.

this photo has a very strong use of color, and texture because we can clearly see the hair and the pores of the person, and because the photo has a very high saturation, this really makes the photo very intense, and the light that it’s reflecting. the focus was right on the person, which is the main object, and there was a great use of tone and light. This photo makes me feel a little bit horror, and uncomfortable, because the person is staring at the camera, with a nasty look.

The beauty of light and reflection

The message of my photo will be to show the Elegance and hidden beauty in the light and reflection around us. The message is to let people connect with the amazing light and reflection around them since People are often too busy and won’t be aware of things around them. I want my audience to have a strong sense of curiosity and feel peace when looking at my photo. For inspiration, I will try to find a photographer who explores the use of light, reflection, and pattern in his or her photo, and a photographer who plays around with long exposure. In my own opinion,  light and the reflection it makes itself is an art piece, but people are too busy and don’t have the chance to be aware of the art around them.
