Mind Map and Vision (statement of Intent)

My statement of intent:

The simple yet beautiful aspects of Nature

The message of my Triptych will be to portray the beauty of simple objects in nature. The beauty of nature can be found in the most simple and uncomplex places. I want the audience to cherish the simplest aspects of nature and how their discrete Beauty is hidden in plain sight. For my inspiration, I will try to find a photographer that is able to explore nature by finding beauty in objects that seem simplistic and uncomplex. In my opinion, it is important for photographers and the audience of photographic works to understand how abstract the natural environment that we live in can be.

After taking a look at images and works from different Photographers such as Andreas Gursky, Uta Barth, Aaron Siskind, and  Maija Savolainen. I have figured out a source of inspiration for my Vision. While I was looking at the works of the artists mentioned above, I established a main focus, this focus includes exploring different elements of nature. When exploring the different elements of nature I will also be exploring light and space and how they are represented in Nature.

The three Works that are similar to what I imagined for my vision are located below:

These Three pictures were taken by the Finnish Abstract Photographer Maija Savolainen.

Maijia Savolainen is a Finnish Abstract Photgrapher who is known for works in which she explores light and space around her. He has obtained a Masters Degree in Photography and has written.a Book called; “When the Sense of Belonging is Bound to a System of Movement”.
