My general idea for the first set was the lens flare effect, In total I have taken approximately 12 images that present this effect. Out of the 12 images I have chosen 3 images that are the best images for the first set.
Each of these images attempts to create the star-like effect often seen when a lens flare is created. How the lens flare relates to reflection is more literal than metaphorical. As previously stated the Flare is particularly caused by very bright light sources. Most commonly, this occurs when aiming toward the Sun and is reduced by using a lens hood or other shade. For good-quality optical systems, and for most images (which do not have a bright light shining into the lens), flare is a secondary effect that is widely distributed across the image and thus not visible, although it does reduce contrast.
The reason why I chose Lens Flare photography is to show appreciation for the light sources that keep us from the dark and that literally bring light into our lives.
The other Images that I took in this unit can be found here:
Out of these images, only 3 were chosen to present my work for this unit. As mentioned above, i chose these images because i felt that they were the best quality images that could represent the effort i put into creating this effect.
