French Revolution All In One’s Eye

Character introduction: Josephine Hochart, age 17 when the French Revolution has begun. She was just young teenager with a curious mind and supportive parents all the way until the end of the revolution. Josephine has been through quite a lot in her recent journal entries, from the very beginning to the end when thousands of people were executed including her parents. There were no logical reasons for any of them to be killed but, it was how the French system worked.

Sway book:

Continuities: At the start, there was only this one king that ruled all fo France, and that was Louis the sixteenth. He made the third estate feel very bad about paying the taxes since France was in debt for a very long time. However, that monarch became something that’s similar to the emperor’s type. There were unsatisfied citizens, they were unhappy with the king, the lack of rights, and just the French community in general. The third estate was suffering because of famine and bankruptcy. A corrupt government was also taken place. The system was messed up throughout the revolution.

Changes: The demolition of the Old Regime was something to be satisfied with according to the French people, there was also the rise in education thanks to the Napoleon Code. Education for people in France began to broaden and levelheaded. The decline in the privileged estates authority also gained. The church loses its power because of enlightenment, then the assignat loses its value as well. Declaration of the Rights of Man was something that gave the third estate huge power among the society and meanwhile the clergy slowly lost their power.

Unbroken Notebook Pages

The book Unbroken- Laura Hillenbrand, the main character is called Louis Zamperini (he can also be known as Louie), was an Olympian in his early adulthood, a lieutenant later on, a prisoner of Ofuna, Japan during his quest, then finally a Christian Speaker. At the start of the story, as an Italian immigrant and also including everyone else in his family, they lived most of their life in Torrance, California to pursue his dreams with the support of his family. Although they were spurned by many people mainly because they were Italian.

The World War ll soon came then separated Louie from family then set off Louie to a long, wretchedness, and just miserable in general journey. Although he suffered, the odyssey he went on was something not to forget and should be considered an accomplishment for Louie himself and his country. Even for the ones that were just told about.

Am I a Humanist?

Humanism is a traditional action that has brought the interests of the human thinking and mind of Greek and Roman thought and idea. Many people has influenced this belief to help the Renaissance to be more developed and make it a better time and place for the people then. Humanism played a big part in the time period of the Renaissance. I would give myself the ranking 4 in how much I believe in this belief because i very much agree with their basic goals and how to achieve them. It seems like it focuses mostly on influencing people.

The Dark Move

The external conflict of the story (Lamb to the Slaughter) written by Roald Dahl is how Mary tried to kill Patrick with a huge lamb leg. At the start it was when Patrick seemed annoyed by Mary that she was always being busy just for him. The part where Patrick brought up divorce with Mary, that is the rising action. It has lead Mary to have the feeling and urge to kill Patrick in some kind of way. The action of Mary bringing her leg of lamb down on Patrick’s back is the climax of the story, a part where all readers wants to know about. The poem that I have made are all from paragraph 25 to 45. So this, clearly shows that it is the external conflict and it is a man vs. man conflict (Mary vs. Patrick). The illustration from the hard copy of the poem is legs of lamb with blood dripping off of it, it shows the dark personality of Mary. Also, the sections what are circled in red are the rising action and the falling action and the black is the climax. Red gives the reader an idea that something surprising is going to happen later on in the story, black shows the very dark act that Mary has made.
